About Me

I am from a very little town south of Jasper, Alabama called Oakman (population 850). Igraduated from Walker High School in 1993 and attended the University of Alabama and Heritage Christian University, where I graduated with a BA in Bible, in December 1998.

I am the student minister at Graymere church of Christ. I married Dana Pendley in August 2001.  We met while we were at HCU and she was at UNA.

Rusty’s hobbies include reading and quoting Andy Stanley, playing golf, playing NCAA football on PS2, and watching insane amounts of junior and senior high school sports. Dana is a first grade teacher at East Hickman Elementary. She enjoys watching every decorating and organization show on TLC and HGTV, reading, and talking on the phone.
